All-on-4 & dental implants

Fixed teeth, fitted the day the old ones come out.

The treatment other offices refer out. Placed and restored here by a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists — usually in a single appointment.

The treatment we're known for

All-on-4: a full arch of fixed teeth, secured on four implants.

Conventional implant work replaces teeth one at a time and can run the better part of a year. All-on-4 carries a whole arch on four implants — the two at the back angled forward to catch bone that's still dense, which is why most patients avoid the graft they were told they'd need. The bridge goes on the same day.

  1. 01

    Consultation & 3D scan

Twenty minutes and a CT scan settle what's guesswork everywhere else: bone height, nerve position, which teeth are still worth keeping. You go home with a written sequence and a price — a number, not a range.

  2. 02

    Digital smile design

Your new teeth are drawn on screen first — length, shape, midline, how much shows when you laugh. If something isn't right, we change it there. Not in your mouth.

  3. 03

    Placement day

Failing teeth out, four implants in, fixed bridge on. One appointment, local anaesthetic, home the same afternoon — and you eat dinner with teeth in.

  4. 04

    Healing, then the final bridge

A few weeks of softer food while the implants fuse to bone. Once they're solid the provisional comes off and the definitive bridge goes on. After that you're a cleanings patient like everyone else.

The procedure, start to finish

What actually happens when an implant goes in.

Six stages, months apart, most of them shorter than the appointment you imagined. It plays on its own — or pick a stage.

Straight answers

What people actually ask about implants.

The four questions that come up in every implant consultation, answered before you book one.

Does getting a dental implant hurt?
Placement is done under local anaesthetic, and most patients report it was less eventful than the extraction that came before it. Expect soreness and some swelling for a few days afterwards; for the majority that's handled with over-the-counter painkillers and an ice pack. If the honest problem is fear rather than pain, say so when you book — anxious patients get a longer slot, more explanation and a slower pace.
I've been told I don't have enough bone for implants. Is that the end of it?
Frequently it isn't. All-on-4 exists for exactly this situation: the back implants go in at an angle to catch bone that's still dense, which often removes the need for the graft a conventional plan would demand. Nobody can settle it by looking in your mouth — it takes a 3D scan, which is the first thing we do and it costs you nothing.
How long does All-on-4 take from start to finish?
The part you care about is fast: extractions, implants and a fixed provisional bridge normally happen in one appointment and you go home with teeth. Underneath, the implants need months to fuse with bone before the definitive bridge goes on, with check-ups along the way. Your dates are written into the plan you get at the consultation.
Are implants better than a denture?
They're not the same category. A denture sits on the gum, moves when you chew, covers the roof of your mouth and comes out at night. An implant bridge is screwed into bone: it doesn't move, doesn't cover your palate, and you clean it where it is. The bite force is close enough to natural teeth that patients talk about steak and corn far more than they talk about how it looks.
